Peter Jamieson, PA-C

Mr. Peter Jamieson is a physician assistant with Durango Orthopedics. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. His professional interests are general orthopedics, sports medicine and hand surgery.

Mr. Jamieson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, with a Certificate in Physician Assistant Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

For the most part, Peter has been a resident of the Durango area since 1974. He is interested in mountaineering, skiing and hiking.  His mountaineering experience includes expeditions to the Himalaya where he became the 14th American to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1983.  He and his wife Gwenda can be found in the mountains and canyons of the Southwest when not in the operating room or clinic.
