Gwendolyn Grant, MD

Dr. Grant is a Yale University Fellowship Trained, Board-certified Rheumatologist at Durango Orthopedics.  Dr. Grant treats the full spectrum of all inflammatory joint diseases and other autoimmune diseases.   In treating her patients, Dr. Grant helps to diagnose these conditions, provides education to the patient about their disease process, helps the patient choose the most appropriate treatment and monitors their disease over time.

Dr. Grant attended Amherst College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts.  She attended graduate school Columbia University and Medical School at Yale University.  Dr. Grant did her internship and residency at Yale – New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.  Her fellowship was completed at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. 

Prior to Dr. Grant’s arrival at Durango Orthopedics in November 2006, she practiced rheumatology at Chase Center for Arthritis in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Dr. Grant was an Assistant Clinical Professor as well as a Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Grant and her husband, Stephen have two children, Ian and Rebecca.  In her spare time she enjoys outdoor pursuits with her family, as well as gardening and bird watching.
